  1. Bill Grimes says:

Pat rented our house in Highlands, NC and left us a copy of his cook book left with a very nice note about writing over 400 pages of his new novel while there. Although I am one of his biggest fans sinceI bought him a new office chair for his comfort while writing hopefully that scores me some points for this contest. Actually, I found an ARC on e-bay paid to much but was worth ever penny. He’s very lucky to have found you to help make him the worldwide sensation he is.
    Thanks Bill Grimes

  2. Frederick P. Van Winkle says:

I hope Mr. Conroy includes Knoxville TN. on his book tour.
I spend a lot of time in Beaufort and on Hunting and Fripp Island but haven’t had the luck to run into him there. I did get to talk to him on the Prince of Tides tour. I went through the line twice; once at the start of the signing and also as the last in line. It took hours. :)

  3. Andrea B. Firth says:

I’ve been waiting 13 years for Mr. Conroy’s new novel. Now, I am anticipating the release of SOB in August. I’ve been able to acquire all of his books in 1st edition. My daughter has been able to have three signed for me. She and my son died in the past year and a half, and isn’t it stupid, that getting the opportunity to have a signed copy of this latest book, gives me something to look forward to? I’m trying to learn where Mr. Conroy may be speaking to promote the his book, but I just read that he is having health problems. I sincerely hope they are resolved quickly. I know SOB will be not only a success, but a book that will fill the readers with the beauty of Pat’s insight into the world.

  4. Ron Block says:

A good friend gave me a wonderful gift some years ago. Knowing that Prince of Tides was my most cherished book, I was given the honor to accompany Pat for the day he was speaking in Syracuse. I still treasure every moment of that day, and especially Pat’s humor, kindness and generosity…

  5. Gene Cate says:

In the late ’60s, over wardroom meal’s, a navy shipmate (Citadel graduate) related many tales of Colonel Courvosier. I ran across a used copy of The Boo and have followed Pat’s writings since that time. I lived in Charleston for 17 years, fishing and crabbing its waters, and rereading books such as The Prince of Tides brings back the odor of the marshes at low tide; indicative of Pat’s talent to place the reader in the moment.

  6. Jessie Adams says:

Having the opportunity to read an advance copy of South of Broad by Pat Conroy was so grand and satisfying.. I am very grateful.

Conroy is an amazing and gifted story-teller whose narratives cut deeply into one’s soul while leaving thought remnants to ponder, discuss, and interpret.

I find myself speaking often of the lush richness and infectious energy which has become associated with Conroy’s stories. His timely and instructive novel will be among the best-selling books this Fall and into the future!

  7. Jessie Adams says:

We would love to see Pat Conroy pay a visit to Portland, Oregon while on his book tour. This is a huge “reading” city!
